Kargo tersebut diregasifikasi melalui Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) Lampung, guna mendukung kebutuhan sektor industri dan kelistrikan
PGN melaksanakan proses ship-to-ship (STS) transfer LNG melalui Anak Usaha yaitu PT PGN LNG Indonesia (PLI). STS dilaksanakan dari Terminal LNG Tangguh Papua ke FSRU Lampung pada 25 - 27 April 2025.
Sejak awal tahun, FSRU Lampung telah menerima delapan kargo LNG atau setara dengan 742.000 m³, menjadikannya penghubung vital pasokan energi non-pipa ke pelanggan di wilayah Sumatera dan Jawa. Selain itu, fasilitas LNG Arun juga menerima satu kargo untuk mendukung pasokan di Sumatera Utara.
“Atas kerja sama dengan berbagai pihak, ketahanan pasokan dapat berjalan berkelanjutan. FSRU Lampung sebagai salah satu infrastruktur midstream, menjadi kekuatan penting PGN dalam menjaga keandalan layanan pemenuhan kebutuhan energi, khususnya untuk menjangkau sektor industri dan kelistrikan,” ujar Corporate Secretary PGN, Fajriyah Usman pada Senin, (05/05/2025).
Fajriyah melanjutkan, tantangan pasokan energi saat ini mendorong PGN untuk memanfaatkan hasil produksi gas LNG dalam negeri melalui integrasi infrastruktur midstream dan downstream menjadi solusi yang fleksibel dan efisien, seiring dengan tren pertumbuhan kebutuhan gas bumi pelanggan. Di tengah kondisi keterbatasan pasokan gas akibat penurunan produksi dari beberapa lapangan hulu di wilayah Jawa dan Sumatera, pemanfaatan LNG menjadi pilihan strategis yang adaptif
